Mission

We are a woman-owned and operated small business focused on investing in the restoration of underutilized properties throughout Washington DC, for the purpose of returning them to active, vibrant use to strengthen our neighborhoods one property at a time.

We purchase and restore underutilized, blighted, and vacant properties typically in need of major repairs, including residential, mixed use and light commercial properties. We purchase vacant lots in the urban core of the District and construct strategic infill development that fits within the existing fabric of the neighborhood.

Culture: Having grown up in South Louisiana, a place steeped in rich cultural traditions, we place high value on the culture of the communities in which we work, and we strive to blend our projects into their cultural setting.

Quality of Life: We transform the exterior space along with the interiors to optimize the livability and enjoyment of the property and to connect it to the neighborhood. We consider how people will live in the spaces we design and, among other things, use methods to reduce noise between units or from outside.

Environment: We believe in the reuse and recycling of buildings and building materials to reduce the waste of land and resources. We incorporate sustainable design concepts to the greatest extent practicable, and we restore and construct buildings in a way that responds to our local climate to increase building health and longevity.

Local Community: Living in one of the most creative cities in the world, we seek to employ and purchase materials from local tradesmen and artisans.

Creativity & Affordability: We creatively reuse existing building materials and selectively use cost-effective materials to bring unique properties to market for little to no added construction cost. We install resource-efficient building systems to assist in reducing utility bills.

Architectural Preservation: Our restorations honor the history of the buildings and our unique DC neighborhoods, while updating them to modern living.

REsults

We offer our restored properties for sale and for rent, including short-term rentals and long-term residency. We work with professional and private lenders to finance our projects and provide our stakeholders a competitive return on investment for their portfolio, savings, and retirement accounts.
